Happy Birthday Letter to Self

Adri,

I am about to tell you some truths and ask you some questions. I’ll do it as if you are a little girl and I am your fairy godmother granting wishes and guiding you as you forge your path to and through….

What are you afraid of?

The worste of it is over. You are now in charge of your life. Capable, empowering, interesting and wanted… not by all, that’s true, but most definitely by those who matter.

I want you to know that I see you. I see myself. I choose to see the fullness of my reality and not just the stuff that’s been depressed and hidden for a lifetime. There is is so much beyond the perceived limits you’ve placed on yourself. You are more than what your fathers sons think of you. You are more than what your mother and sister judge about you. You have not failed. You have dared to live against the grain of a dysfunctional family and a broken society.

You seem one way and are so much more.

Keep going. Please don’t quit on yourself or your ideas just because you’re misunderstood for being different. You were born for something and that something never had a chance to reveal itself because you grew up with people who had few good things to say. But you’re your own now. The beauty of that is you get to choose to see yourself now and forever as good and worthy.

I urge you to because the special something you were born for needs you to believe. Now more than ever. Good and worthy. Believe and align, the work is to remove the barriers to yourself. The rest is easy, I promise.

May your gifts and talents continue to emerge and reveal themselves with pleasure and ease.

May your birthday be happy!

Remember this, when it feels like no one loves you, I love you.

So, what now?

💖🌸✌🏾
