Book #2

The beginning of a story… this month I share my process in action.

I walked up flustered and annoyed over the garbage at the entrance of our hill. I stopped to say hello and give my bit on the mess where the garbage goes. She agreed, something should be done. First there was a cousin who could help, then someone’s son, in the end the community pulled through and now we have a bunk bed that is actually a garbage can. Or is it a garbage can that's actually a bunk bed?! Yeah, I suppose the latter is more true. Does  this happen to you that you unexpectedly hear yourself and realize this way of thinking can end now and then immediately it does. A correction as simple as is this a bunk bed or a trash can… 

Anyway the story goes, “estoy loca por hacer algo con ese basurero. No puedo mas! Qué le parece si entre todos hacemos uno”. Confused, she asks where I live and why the trash concerns me so. “Me estoy quedando allá arriba, en la casa que era de mi papá. Sort of confused, dying to know and sort of wishing that my dad was Juan. “Si, soy Adriana, la hija menor.” Then we became friends and she helped me clean up Willy’s Place.

There’s a story behind this chance meeting between us. I plan to make it a chapter to a book I’ve been scheming up about an animal's time in the jungle and the journey life takes us on and the meaning we give it all when really we are meant to move on.  I hope to write these stories and put action behind my dreams. It’s imperative that I start forgiving too. The pain in my body and the way my heart is wanting to break free, can’t take it anymore. Something has got to give. Let’s let go of what was. Once and for all. 

It’s been a difficult month, sweet ones. This first Friday comes with good news, lots of rest and a spirit of celebration because if I don’t I may fall apart. Let’s not let ourselves fall apart anymore either, ok. Time to go up and keep going.

Ok, so Pipa has 8 babies. 6 girls and 2 boys. They are the cutest. I’m keeping the tiny one and calling her Coquina.
